About Me

Carole Griffiths brings a sense of fun to her work and has taught, encouraged and stimulated many students in her classes to create

“organic and original, unique and individual artwork”.

Carole’s passion is to create pieces that ‘make you look twice’.

Carole started her glass bead arts practice over 20 years ago. Her first studio was in the historic Gorman House Arts centre. Over the time she has taught hundreds of students the magic of molten glass.

When the Canberra Glassworks opened in 2007, she taught the glass bead program for over three years. She continues to  teach at the Canberra Glassworks when they run the Sunday classes.

Griffiths travelled to America to study glass bead making in 2011.

In 2013, she completed a master class on Murano Island in Venice, Italy.

In 2018 she studied in Ravenna Italy studying micro mosaics. She has undertaken many trips back to Ital to further her skills.

In 2019 she undertook an excursion to the Kimberley region of Western Australia to study rock formations for a new body of work.

Her work is in galleries all over Australia.

Carole runs classes on a Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning Friday morning and Saturday morning
